A place to entertain, gather with family and friends, enjoy movie nights with kids - this was the clients’ vision for their unfinished basement. The blank space was reimagined with thoughtful space planning - a small kitchenette with an island for kids to do their homework or for adults to hang out, designing built-ins under the stairs for display and storage and maximize the seating for movie nights. Special consideration was made to accommodate a projection screen and other AV components. A lighting plan was created and intentional ceiling details were designed to anchor various zones in an open space while complementing the overall lighting design.
